Doesn’t anyone take the Ohana means family family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten sweater of paying and raising their own children anymore? You have them, you pay for them. People that have children should save up their days off and take them when they have their baby if they so choose. Employers shouldn’t be required to pay for extra time. Find ways to have a parent be home during the years that kids need them. I didn’t say keep the wife at home. I said to keep a parent at home. Sometimes the wife is the better breadwinner. Still not the place of the employer to pay for your time off just because you had an extra glass of wine one night 9 months ago.
