Westie’s are great! Can be strong minded and My patronus is a West Highland White Terrier shirt lots of work with training though and I have to have mine groomed every 6-8 weeks so more than 4 times a year!! Otherwise wonderful little dogs with great personalities! Love them. They clean up with a brushing their outer coat sheds dirt easily I don’t recommend shaving this breed. They are very handsome with the Breed look. I have to disagree, they were easy to train. Easiest of all the terriers I’ve owned. And despite what they said, they make great lap dogs too! Robust, tuff, sweet, smart, and kind! Love them. Both of my Westies are lap dogs and although they like time by themselves too. Pip and Nellie are great with our grandchild, other dogs and do well with meeting strangers.
